Just a Stone's Throw Away

This large ocean painting was how I remembered this section of the Cape to Cape Track, where we were Just a Stone's Throw Away from the finish line - Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.  The unique large, flat rock formations formed a pathway around the deep blue water of the last bay, which actually meant we were still a 20 minute walk away from reach the end of our 6 day hike.   
 
The painting includes a wide variety of marks, and uses thicker paint in parts to describe the land where the lighthouse sits. The lighthouse was created with a palette knife - just one mark for the tower and one mark for the light.
 
Signed on the back, ready to hang and professionally framed in natural oak.
