When is the workshop?

Saturday 14th October 2023, 10.30 am to 4.30pm and Sunday 15th October 2023, 10 am to 4pm

What's included? 

Everything - you don't need to bring a thing!

*Expert and friendly tuition to enable you to create your own acrylic painting of a forest scene 

*All art materials (eg acrylic paint, mediums, brushes, palette knives, other mark making materials, aprons)

*Painting surfaces (paper for exercises, artist quality canvas (50 cm square)

*All refreshments, tea, coffee, and a home cooked lunch on both days

*Course notes to take away, full of tips and tricks

Overnight accommodation

Colour mixing for treescapes and the use of mediums

Composition - achieving depth, interest and balance

All about tonal values - how to assess and improve tonal variation to stregthen your composition

Mark making - adding personality with controlled marks and some happy accidents

Finishing off a painting - edges, varnishing and signing

Plus many other studio secrets to help you create your own unique landscape paintings....

Who is this course for?

From beginners to dabblers, to intermediates - you are all welcome! There will be a maximum of 8 participants, with the opportunity for plenty of personal, positive tuition to guide you through the painting process, develop your skills and encourage your creativity at whatever stage you are at. 

Paid bookings are essential to secure your place.  The minimum number of students for this course is 4, the maximum is 8.
